THE OBJECTIVES:

Master the essential steps for creating and making underwear.

Master the techniques and use of the sewing machine and serger.

Learn and practice the main sewing techniques.

 

THE PROGRAM:

• Development of models and creation of basic patterns: bra, panties, thong, tanga, nightgown, tank top, shorts, pajamas, etc.

• Interpretation of a drawing and creation of models from a drawing;

• Pattern drafting

• Pattern alterations

• Assembly, fitting, and toile assembly

• Selection of fabrics and accessories

• Cutting method

• Assembly, fitting of the fabric model

• Finalizing the piece

PEDAGOGICAL AND TECHNICAL MEANS:

 

Documentation, books, magazines, didactic outings (exhibitions, fashion shows, suppliers), classroom lessons, videos, practical demonstrations, workshops, will be used with the aim of teaching students to:

 

• Master professional tools (sewing machine, serger, dress form)

• Know the different fabrics, threads, pattern paper, needles, meter, ruler, etc

• Draft patterns

• Learn different types of seams and assemblies

• Make different types of garments
